Welcome

Welcome to GroupOut, operated by GroupOut and its operators (“GroupOut,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of our app, website, and related beta services (“Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use GroupOut.

Beta notice: GroupOut is pre-release software. It may crash, lose data, or change without notice. Participation is voluntary.

Eligibility and Accounts

Beta Testing Terms

User Conduct

You agree not to engage in unlawful, harmful, or offensive conduct, including harassment, hate speech, threats, scams, illegal content, and impersonation. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. GroupOut does not conduct background checks.

Report misconduct in-app or email support@groupout.app.

Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant GroupOut a license to use it within the Services to operate and improve the product. GroupOut software, design, and trademarks remain our property.

Privacy and Data

See our Privacy Policy. Location permissions are required for core features. Push notifications require your permission and can be disabled in device settings.

Payments

Not applicable during beta.

Safety Disclaimer

GroupOut is a platform for real-time social discovery at venues. We do not guarantee any interaction will lead to a meeting. Always meet in public places, inform someone of your plans, and take reasonable precautions.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GroupOut is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is capped at $100 USD or amounts paid in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify GroupOut from claims arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or interactions with other users.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, except where prohibited. You waive class actions and jury trials to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time. You may request deletion by contacting support@groupout.app.

Enforcement — Three-Strike Policy

  1. Strike 1: Formal warning; content removed.
  2. Strike 2: Temporary suspension.
  3. Strike 3: Permanent termination.

We may bypass strikes and terminate immediately for severe violations, illegal content, or safety risks.
